I’m Alan, and together with my brother John, we launched AJBarImagination, a brand born from our innate love for DIY projects and home bar styling. Our journey began in our own house where our imaginations turned into tangible creations, and where we discovered our knack for transforming ordinary spaces into intimate, stylish home bars
We took a simple passion for a home bar project that evolved into a love for re-imaging a space for anyone’s home, helping others bring their own bar styling ideas to life. At AJBarImagination, we believe that a home bar isn’t just a place to serve drinks; it’s an extension of one’s personality and a reflection of personal taste.
Choose something that resonates with you, they say, and we did just that. Our passion for creating perfect home bar steered us toward establishing a brand where we could share this enthusiasm with the world. This isn’t just about building furniture or mixing cocktails; it’s about creating a special nook in your home that stands out yet feels completely your own.
You can always adjust your approach down the road, but what remains unwavering is our dedication to offering fresh, creative, and accessible bar styling ideas. It’s incredibly rewarding for us to see a project come together and watch a blank space turn into the heart of a home—and we’re here to help you do exactly that.

The Perfect Home Bar for Every Occasion
At AJBarImagination, John and I understand that a home bar becomes the backdrop for life’s most cherished moments. This isn’t simply about having a place to grab a drink; it’s about creating the perfect scene for every celebration and quiet evening alike.
I’m part of a sizeable and lively family, and there’s nothing we enjoy more than coming together. A home bar proves to be the perfect gathering place for any occasion. It could be the cheerful chaos of a kid’s birthday party, where non-alcoholic mocktails delight the little ones, or the spooky allure of an adult Halloween night, complete with eerie cocktails.
You can always adjust your approach down the road, adapting the home bar to suit the mood and theme. But one thing remains constant – a welcoming atmosphere that invites stories, laughter, and camaraderie. Personally, I’ve witnessed the transformation of a simple get-together into a full-fledged fiesta just by moving into the well-lit, memorabilia-adorned space of our home bar.
Starting with our own home bar which became a vibrant entertainment hub, John and I knew we had tapped into something special. Having a space where comfort meets elegance allows any homeowner to elevate their hosting game. It’s this philosophy that threads through every idea we share with you through AJBarImagination.
AJBarImagination: Expertise, Inspiration
We at AJBarImagination pride ourselves on producing content that isn’t just helpful but also inspires you to personalize your space with certainty and flair.

More than just a brand, we are a community. John and I invite you to join our growing family of DIY enthusiasts and home entertainers. Share your projects, exchange ideas, and even showcase your own home bars. Through our blog, we’re creating a space for dialogue and discovery.
Let’s raise a glass to the spirit of creativity and togetherness. We can’t wait to see how AJBarImagination influences your next home bar project. Here’s to crafting inviting, chic, and unforgettable home bars, together.
This looks great where did you get it from originally?
Bob
Hi Bob
We built this one, its actually the one in my house, its built out of blocks then tiled. The bar top is made of 50mm large concrete slabs then again tiled
We was after making something that would be very solid and withstand any hardcore party.
As we get more established we may offer some kind of building plan or design for this
thanks
Alan
What kind of tiles can you use? And what type of tiles did you use?
Hi Sophie
The tiles that are on the picture are called splitface tiles I would say they are the bet sort of tile for the face of your bar.
The bar top tiles are a solid polished porcelain. These are great for the top of the bar as they are very hard wearing. something that fits the top perfectly is best. On this bar we used 600mm x 600mm tiles
thanks
Alan
